Join other experts and attorneys to discuss the development and utilization of effective Expert Witness Contracts. Craig Cherney and Jonathan Ibsen, law partners in The Canterbury Law Group in Scottsdale, Arizona, will present best practices in writing retention agreements and contracts. Current trends in contract law and their effect on expert witness agreements will be included. They will critique current FEWA members’ contracts and present ways to improve them.

Craig Cherney is a Partner at The Canterbury Law Group in Scottsdale, Arizona handling matters in real estate, family law, bankruptcy and federal litigation. With a strong background in real estate, Craig also serves as a real estate expert witness for other lawyers. He provides a unique perspective to complex issues including asset valuation, asset recovery, disposition and sale of real property, division and valuation of business partnerships, and partnership fiduciary duties. Craig was first admitted to practice law 24 years ago and is actively licensed to practice in three states: Arizona, California, and Nevada.

Jonathan Ibsen is a Partner at The Canterbury Law Group in Scottsdale, Arizona and is well versed in bankruptcy, litigation, family and business law. Jon has represented debtors, official committees of creditors, secured creditors, receivers, landlords, trade creditors, buyers and sellers of distressed assets, boards of directors Chapter 7 trustees, and individuals in sophisticated matters throughout the United States. His representations have encompassed a wide variety of industries, including: real estate, brokerage, retail, healthcare, energy, telecommunications, sports, and entertainment. Jon is licensed in Arizona and New York.
