How to Win the Beauty Contest: A Litigator’s Take on How Experts are Selected PLUS! this Bonus Topic: The Top 5 Must Haves for a Bullet Proof Expert Report

The euphemism for the legal professional’s search for experts is “the beauty contest”. Experts can be accurate and diligent in their field of expertise, yet still not be the choice of the hiring attorney. The hiring attorneys often look beyond professional qualifications, degrees, publications, and reputation in the field of expertise to select their experts.

  • What does the attorney look for on the expert’s resume?
  • What marketing materials are most effective to catch the potential customer’s eye?
  • If one does not have experience, how does one break into the business?
  • What should the expert expect during the interview process?
  • What are the important traits that the expert should bring-out during the early conversations?

PLUS!   The Top 5 Must Haves for a Bullet Proof Expert Report
