The Paralegal Connection

How the Expert Witness Helps—Not Hinders

Christina Ladyman will share insight for the seasoned expert to properly assist a legal team, without creating avoidable complications. Well experienced experts often unknowingly cause time consuming, or even detrimental, issues for the legal team which are easily avoidable. Learn how to help—not hinder—a legal team by understanding the relationship of proactively working together. Know what to expect, what to shield, what to avoid, what to share—and often more importantly what not to share. This educational offering will provide experienced experts with a new perspective for understanding paralegal expectations and intentions for moving a case in the right direction.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn to differentiate between what to do and what not to do when interacting with legal teams
  • Gain a full understanding of the role the paralegals play in litigation as the "glue" holding the case together, and how to interact efficiently with the entire legal team
  • Have the knowledge necessary to successfully communicate with legal teams without hindering the progress of the case
