Chapter Event: Houston
Attendees will learn the principles and methods of the standard industrial incident investigation process and its application within forensic investigations of events subject to civil litigation.
Management consultant Benjamin Schrader will provide an overview of this forensic process with examples of actual application.
The lecture is one hour taking place between 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, with allowance for questions and answers. The presentation is combined with a lunch meeting of FEWA members and guests.
Mr. Schrader is a professional engineer providing expert consulting services and technical assistance for resolution of matters in dispute arising during insurance claims, bribery cases or foreign corrupt practice. His engagements as an expert witness have involved incident investigation in cases addressing resolution of business interruption, standard of care, and damage calculations in international judicial settings including ICC, ICSID, PCA/UNCITRAL and CRCICA. Ben’s training and hands-on experience in the military and during his years in management positions at a major energy corporation have provided him with special expertise in the theory and practice of the incident investigation process.
