Join the Houston Chapter on October 26th for a presentation on Social Media and the Expert Witness, Evidentiary & Ethical Challenges and Strategies. Attorney David Wilson will teach participants about maximizing the value of social media evidence for use in litigation while minimizing the risk of facing allegations of professional misconduct. Content and Subject Matter: Experts and attorneys will learn about the myriad evidentiary legal and ethical challenges and pitfalls in the area of social media.
Insurance Law Expert and Attorney, Eric Dick will speak about insurance claims and litigation that is arising due to Hurricane Harvey. Topics include The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Homeowners Insurance, TWIA, and ancillary lawsuits resulting from Hurricane Harvey and unexpected floodwater releases by the Corp of Engineers. He will also speak about ethics involving insurance law.
Attorney David V. Wilson ll is a shareholder at the firm of Mehaffy Webber in Houston. He practices in the area of business and construction litigation in both Texas and Nevada. He has tried well over 100 cases as first chair lawyerand served as lead counsel in over 50 appellate cases, including at the Texas Supreme Court. Cases have been primarily on behalf of the construction, manufacturing, insurance and oil and gas industries. ln addition, David's background as a prosecutor has also provided him opportunities to defend business and high-profile clients in many aspects of government relations, including administrative proceedings and white collar criminal defense.
Attorney Eric Dick is the founder and owner of Dick Law Firm, PLLC. He exclusively represents policyholders all over Texas regarding first-party insurance disputes. His practice includes representing homeowners and business owners with property damage disputes.
