Experts in all disciplines know that communication is not the only spoken word.  Join us for this interactive program and enhance your understanding of the five (5) elements of non-verbal communication.   

By attending this event, participants will benefit and improve in the following:  

  • Appropriate greetings in a ‘no-touch’ environment (choosing the next handshake) 
  • Tips to help prevent ZOOM faux pas (Yes, there are several)
  • It takes just 7 seconds to create a good first impression:  Consider the message of the mask you wear
  • Avoiding unintended insults: Understand multiple meanings of common gestures and how they are perceived

Speaker

Lanie Denslow
Lanie Denslow is the Founder of World Wise Intercultural Training & Resources, a company dedicated to expanding awareness of how culture and protocol shape business practices around the world.  

Lanie served as the Director of International Affairs for The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and was President of Protocol & Diplomacy International a global organization of protocol professionals.

She conducted seminars for global business leaders and organizations in the US, China, Germany, Russia and England.  In 2020 she was a keynote speaker at the Global Etiquette Training & Education conference in Shanghai, China.

Her clients include the  Hoge-Fenton, Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc Arent Fox LLP, Tucker Ellis LLP, Moss Adams,  the Port of Los Angeles, U.S. Department of Commerce, UK Trade & Investment, Celgene Corporation, Otsuka America Inc., the Trade Commission of Australia, and Peterbilt Corporation.   

She is the author of World Wise: What to Know Before You Go (Fairchild) and co -author of Working with Americans (Routledge, London) both internationally recognized for their practical insights regarding how culture influences business. 

Lanie is a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington and holds a BS degree from Antioch University and both a Masters of International Business and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
