The Various Expertise Needed by Criminal Defense Attorneys: What All Experts Should Know

Christopher Morales is a criminal defense attorney with over 25 years of litigation experience.  A San Francisco native and graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, Christopher has been practicing law in the Bay Area since 1991.  This Super Lawyer has worked on a number of high-profile cases over the course of his career, including the Biletnikoff murder trial of 2012 and the Fernando Murillo attempted murder trial, which was featured on America’s Most Wanted TV show.  Christopher even served as an expert commentator for Fox News during the Scott Peterson murder trial.  He has served as defense counsel in over 75 criminal jury trials.

Christopher is a distinguished member of the State Bar of California, who certified him as a Criminal Law Specialist in 2002. Christopher has also been a member of a number of other legal organizations, including the Lawyer’s Club of San Francisco, La Raza Centro Legal, and the Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Committee—just to name a few. 

In his personal life, Christopher is an avid traveler. He has taken backpacking excursions through Nepal and Peru, and has traveled extensively throughout Latin America and Asia. He was also a decorated boxer during his time as an undergrad at UC Berkeley, winning the National Collegiate Boxing title in 1984 and reaching the Northern California Golden Glove finals in 1985.
