Emily Nugent

Emily Nugent is a partner at Dickson Geesman LLP, a plaintiff's employment law firm in Oakland. Emily is a committed and tenacious advocate for employees with discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblower claims. She is an active trial lawyer and has achieved significant jury and arbitration verdicts for her clients. Emily is a former Chair of the Labor and Employment section of the Alameda County Bar Association and is a frequent speaker on topics presented by the California Employment Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association's labor and employment sections.

Emily received the Rising Star distinction from 2012-2018. She was honored as "Attorney of the Year" in 2012 by the AIDS Legal Referral Panel in San Francisco and currently serves as co-Chair of its Board of Directors.
