Meet FEWA's Newest members!

Donald Jasko

Donald Jasko is a new member of FEWA's Los Angeles Chapter.

Donald A. Jasko is an attorney with a long interest in music and the arts, media, economics and technology.  After managing the licensing of music to television broadcasters at ASCAP in New York, Don founded Digital Economics, which administers musical copyrights for publishers and composers of television and ad music.  As CEO of Digital Economics, Don also consults and serves as an expert witness on issues relating to copyright valuations, licensing, royalties, residuals, and the proper distribution of complex performance income streams.

He received his JD from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his BA cum laude from University of Virginia with a major in Government.  He subsequently earned a certificate in Investment Decisions & Behavioral Finance from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  He is also certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator (Steps I and II). He has served as a Board Member of UC San Diego Faculty Club, and is currently a Board Member (and Governance Chair) of the San Diego Chapter of Social Venture Partners.

Dr. Janeen DeMarte

Dr. Janeen DeMarte is a new member of FEWA’s Arizona Chapter.

Dr. Janeen DeMarte is a licensed clinical psychologist currently operating Sentience Psychological Services, PLLC and Sentience, PLLC in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. DeMarte completed both her master’s and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Michigan State University and fulfilled an APA approved doctoral residency at Arizona State Hospital.

Dr. DeMarte conducts psychological therapy and assessment for a broad range of clients. Her diverse therapeutic aptitudes have been developed over years of experience providing care to clients from all walks of life, with ages spanning from early childhood to older adults. Her clinical training was conducted in a variety of settings including correctional facilities, outpatient clinics, and inpatient units. She serves as a psychological expert witness for both criminal and civil cases, most often in criminal capital trials.

Isaac Aboulafia

Isaac is a new member of FEWA’s Houston Chapter.

Mr. Aboulafia is a registered professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in Environmental, environmental remediation and consulting fields. He specializes in feasibility evaluation, design, cost estimating, implementation and construction oversight of soil and groundwater assessment and remediation projects. He has expertise in soil and groundwater remediation projects utilizing innovative technologies such as in-situ chemical oxidation, bio-enhancements, enhanced soil vapor extraction, hydraulic removal/control and complicated engineered excavations. He performs due diligence and compliance assessments to identify and quantify environmental liabilities at sites including chemical manufacturing facilities, manufacturing plants, commercial shopping centers/restaurants/offices, multi-family residential properties and vacant land.

Further, he designs and implements site characterization projects to quantify the extent of contaminated soil and groundwater. Mr. Aboulafia is experienced in negotiating environmental issues with regulators and within the business community in support of rapid assessment and remediation of projects necessitated by real estate/business transactions. He frequently gives technical training presentations to environmental professionals for remediation technologies and approaches.
