Please join speakers, Steven Edrington, CFLC, CCIM, CPM, Jonathan E. Madison, Esq., Robyn B. Christo, Esq., and Steven Murow the Norwest and West Region for their joint hybrid event!

This event is suitable for all education levels, and no prerequisites are needed to attend.

Throughout this event participants will learn:

  • Potential conflicts and bias
  • Helping counsel understand their case from the expert's perspective

Steven Edrington, CFLC, CCIM, CPM

Steven Edrington is a Certified Property Manager, Certified Commercial Investment Member, Residential Building Code Inspector, and has over 25 years’ experience as a broker, investor, and developer. His company, Edrington & Associates, specializes residential investment property as brokers and consultants. He frequently provides expert witness testimony for landlord/tenant disputes and consults property owners on adding value to their properties through accessory dwelling units (ADUs), code enforcement, condo conversions, rent increases, and more. He is the former President and Executive Director of the East Bay Rental Housing Association and current President of the Northwest Chapter of FEWA.

 


Jonathan E. Madison Esq.

Lead Attorney at The Madison Firm, Jonathan provides strong and efficient legal assistance in matters involving landlord-tenant and related real estate matters, estate planning, and civil litigation. Jonathan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University with distinguished honors in 2011.  He went on to graduate from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2016.  As a law student, Jonathan not only clerked for Fried & Williams LLP, but for Wells Fargo’s Legal Group, working on issues pertaining to estate planning, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and financial services. Prior to his legal career, Jonathan worked as professional policy staff for the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Financial Services. As professional policy staff, Jonathan managed policy portfolios on housing and oversight issues for the Committee Chairman, and conducted strategy to facilitate the passage of housing reform legislation in the 112th Congress. Jonathan regularly Co-Hosts the Fox Business Mornings With Maria Show, and has appeared on the following networks and television shows: Saturday Night Live, KRON 4 News, NBC Bay Area News, and KTVU Channel 2 News. As Chairman of the Alameda County Bar Association Real Estate Section, Jonathan leads a team of real estate attorneys in educating the County of Alameda in simple and complex legal matters. Beyond this, Jonathan leads a prison ministry at the San Francisco County Jail.


Robyn B. Christo, Esq.

Robyn B. Christo is a trial attorney and partner at Epstein Holtzapple Christo LLP, a litigation firm based in San Rafael, CA. Robyn specializes in litigating trust, estate, fiduciary, and elder-related cases in probate courts throughout California. Robyn began her career in 2009 with a large law firm in San Francisco where she first began working with expert witnesses. Robyn regularly utilizes experts in a variety of fields including psychiatry, neuropsychology, internal medicine, trust administration, taxation, economics, and real estate in her defense and prosecution of probate actions. Robyn appeared on the Northern California Super Lawyer Rising Stars list for seven years before being selected for inclusion on the Northern California Super Lawyers list in 2021 and 2022. Robyn was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County where she resides with her husband and their three children. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Robyn credits her late father, Dr. Fred Youngswick, who regularly provided expert opinion testimony in medical malpractice cases, for his informal training in preparing for and taking expert depositions.


Steve Murow

Mr. Murow, Chairman and CFO of Murow Development Consultants in Orange County, CA, has been a professional in the general engineering and building contracting industry for over forty years. During that time, he has served as a principal in two leading contracting firms, consultant to major land developers, specifier and bid administrator, senior project manager, and as an expert witness, where he provides litigation support and expert services on all aspects of land development improvements, public and private works, street and underground improvements and building construction. Mr. Murow is the past President (2011-2015, 2019) of the Orange County Forensic Expert Witness Association (FEWA), National Board Member, and 2013 National Past President of the FEWA National Board of Directors.
