How Attorneys Think and Write and Why It Matters To You As An Expert Witness

Learning Objectives:

  • Become familiar with the IRAC (Issue, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion) and CRAC (Conclusion, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion) analysis methods used by attorneys
  • Understand how an expert can use these methods to provide effective expert witness services
  • Understand how to effectively communicate with the retaining attorney by using IRAC or CRAC
  • Observe how to use IRAC or CRAC in a sample expert witness case

Cris Vaughan 

In his more than 40 years as a litigation attorney in both State and Federal Court, Cris Vaughan has regularly taken and defended expert witness depositions and has hired numerous expert witnesses. 

He has been retained as both a consulting and testifying expert witness. He has testified as an expert in depositions and at trial for plaintiffs and defendants on a wide variety of subject matters concerning disabled access. 

He is a professional member of FEWA and is an active member of the National Conference Planning Committee and the Board of Directors for the FEWA Northwest Region.
